Clay founded Lighted Way Home Inspections in 2021 after 15 years in the Aerospace Industry. During his work as a Certified FAA Repairman & Quality Control Inspector, he developed a vast knowledge of structural systems and how interdependent systems effect components as a whole. Clay brings the same attention to detail, knowledge, and experience he gained inspecting repaired aircrafts for airworthiness to every home inspection.
When he is not providing exceptional, honest, and thorough home inspection services, Clay enjoys spending time with his family, playing guitar, and a strong cup of coffee.
Clay’s wife Lauren works behind the scenes from the home office coordinating the day-to-day business needs. An RN since 2011, Lauren brings her passion for service and love for people to the family business.
Lauren & Clay enjoying homeschooling their 3 children and spending as much time together as a family as they can. In addition to operating their family business, they stay busy homesteading, renovating their 1902 Farmhouse in Hillsboro, TX, and attending Traditional Latin Mass at St. Benedict’s Catholic Parish.

Lauren’s cousin Cameron joined the team in 2025 as a Licensed Apprentice Inspector. Growing his knowledge with the Lighted Way team, he trains and operates under Clay’s guidance as he studies and prepares for his role as a Licensed Home Inspector.
Outside of work, Cameron enjoys spending time with family, traveling around DFW in search of the best local food, and working on cars.
